Join us for a night of service and advocacy!
The Policy Project is making an important stop in Cache County as part of our journey to raise awareness and garner state-wide support for The Focused Student Project. This two-pronged initiative is dedicated to helping Utah students thrive by limiting smartphone use in classrooms and addressing student hunger.
Showing up could mean the difference in 260,000 kids in Utah having lunch this summer. It could mean the difference of a 14% increase in test scores for kids in the lowest income brackets—because limiting cell phone use in school can do that!
Your presence on February 4th will show legislators how vital this work is! Learn more about these important issues at this link.
What to expect:
Overview of The Focused Student Project: Emily Bell McCormick, Founder and President of The Policy Project, will share the goals of this initiative, and community members will share their personal stories on the challenges of cell phone use in schools and student hunger.
Advocacy Training with Kristin Andrus from Gathering for Impact: Discover how to maximize your skills and resources and create a personalized action plan for community change. This is a training you won’t want to miss!
Service Project: Engage in a hands-on service project, led by The Policy Project’s community champions, to support vulnerable students at nearby Teen Centers.
Advocacy in Action: Amplify your voice for Utah’s kids! Attendees will write postcards to their legislators to support a brighter future for students across the state.
All are welcome!
And of course, it wouldn’t be a Policy Project event without red t-shirts, balloon arches, upbeat music, and treats! Join us for an evening that’s not only informative but also fun and impactful.
