Lindsay Butrum

Policy Implementation & Grants Manager


Lindsay Butrum is the Programs & Grants Specialist at The Policy Project. Originally from the Midwest, Lindsay received her B.S. in Health Sciences from Purdue University. She facilitated programs for youth and adults as a health educator, then transitioned into graduate medical education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After moving with her family to Utah in 2008, Lindsay was an active community and school volunteer, serving on multiple PTA boards and school community councils. She was the Kids & Teen Camps Director at Sundance Mountain Resort, creating active art and nature programs for school-aged children. Lindsay also championed the opening of the initial Encircle LGBTQ+ youth and family resource center, working to develop a program structure, training materials, and an ongoing art fundraising program to support their services.

Before joining The Policy Project in June of 2024, Lindsay received her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Utah, focusing on community health. There, she served on the Student Advisory Committee, was inducted into the Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society, and received the Division of Public Health’s Community Engagement Award in recognition of her community advocacy and service work. Lindsay is passionate about improving the health of Utah’s communities and using evidence-based approaches to foster systemic change.
