Did you know that 1 in 4 of teenage girls cannot afford period products? And did you know that 61% have worn a tampon or pad longer than recommneded due to lack of access to products? Help us reduce these rates!
Join us on Wednesday, May 8, to pack THOUSANDS of summer period kits for Utah students in need. This event is open to all ages—bring your kids, parents, friends, and neighbors!
And, of course, there's no party like a PERIOD PARTY, so wear pink and come ready to dance!
We also need volunteers to take boxes of assembled period kits from the service project and deliver them to Utah schools before Friday, May 16th, so students receive them before the end of the school year! We will send a sign up sheet of schools to all event registrants a week or two before the event.
During the event, we will also recognize the Student Champions who've used their voices and helped advocate in a significant way this school year. Plus, we'll provide updates on The Period Project and our global initiative Period Positive Workplace, aimed at ensuring every business provides period products for their employees.
Together, we can end period poverty!
If you have any questions about the event, need help with large group registration, or could use assistance with the $3 registration fee, reach out to jayden@thepolicyproject.org!
